Blue card, Northern borrowed water

Just 5 km from the center of Gothenburg is Norra Långevattnet - an oblong lake with a large depth variation, just under a kilometer in length and at its deepest 6.5 meters. It is well suited for both fly and spin fishing, there are good chances of rainbow trout being released continuously, but the lake also has pike, perch, roach and bream. Norra Långevattnet is surrounded by forest and cliffs, and on the eastern side the Bohus Trail passes on its way south.

**Fishing all year round

• During April-September, a day pass entitles you to fish all day, from 00.00 to 24.00. During the rest of the year from 06.00 to 21.00.
• The fishing license is valid for fishing with only ONE rod, either spinning, reeling or fly rod. Permitted baits are fly and spinner baits. Barbless hooks are recommended for easier unhooking. Jerk fishing is prohibited.
• All forms of bait fishing are prohibited. Except for ice fishing, when natural bait is allowed. Throwing ball/dip/bombard and artificial odor and taste baits are prohibited.
• Fishing from boats and other floating devices is prohibited. However, floating with swim fins is allowed for fly fishing.
• Bait indicators and hangers are prohibited in all fishing. Fishing with spinning flies and sinkers is prohibited.
• A maximum of 2 rainbows may be kept per card, after which fishing must be stopped immediately. After that, you can buy a new card if you want to continue fishing.
• Fishermen are obliged to present their fishing license, identification, gear, bags and catch on request. Fishing inspectors are provided with a special badge or card.

Fishing rules are enforced by law and infringements may result in penalties.

The fishing license

• The fishing license costs 200 SEK/day. The card is personal, must be filled in with name and may not be transferred.
• Children up to the age of 11 may fish for free when accompanied by an adult with a fishing license. Please note that the catch limit of 2 rainbows applies per card (see above).
• The card can be purchased online at www.ifiske.se/all/3390 (QR code below) or in store - see current list at www.sportfiskarna.se/goteborg.

Show consideration

• Show consideration for each other's fishing! Apply mobile fishing, do not stay longer in the same fishing spot.
• Remember not to leave any rubbish behind. Litter and other debris can cause damage to nature.

**How to get here

Norra Långevattnet is located just south of Boråsleden at Delsjömotet, only 5 km from Gothenburg city center.

The Red and Green Express and several bus lines stop at Delsjömotet, just a few minutes walk from the lake, see www.vasttrafik.se.

Parking is available at the commuter parking lot at the football fields northwest of the lake (see map).

Please note that the gate on the road to Mölndal waterworks closes without warning, so do not drive in there.
