At Gisshult, located along the road between Nässjö and Vetlanda, the two Gisshultas lakes are jutted out in the Småland terrain. The lakes are connected by a canal, which means that they have a similar composition of the fish community.
The Gisshultas lakes are shallow, 8 meters at their deepest, with an average depth of 2.3 meters and a total of 115 hectares in size. The lakes are home to plenty of whitefish.
