Högsjön is home to a large number of perch. Nowadays, trout are planted out at regular intervals. There have been reports of 2-kilo trout. The plots of the holiday homes by the lake may not be entered.

Högsjön belongs to the Yellow Card, a fishing license that covers 60 different lakes and streams in the Gothenburg area.
