Scope of the fishing license:
The fishing stretch starts downstream of the Papyrus factory area in Mölndal and ends at the outlet of the Mölndalsån/Gullbergsån into the Säveån at Partihallarna. Also the dug canal Fattighusån towards Gothenburg central station that branches to Vallgraven and the harbor canals is included in the fishery.
Fishing rules:
Minimum size for salmon and trout is 45 cm. Fishing season for trout and salmon is 1/4-30/9. Otherwise, see Fishing rules in the Yellow Card guide.
Description:
The watercourses were completely empty of fish for many years, but through extensive environmental and water purification work, the fish have returned.In the upper part of the Mölndal River, salmon and sea trout spawn, but no releases take place anymore. A new migration route for fish has been in place since 2013 at the dam in Gårda, which facilitates passage for all fish species that migrate in the water system. Please note that fishing is prohibited in all fishways within the Yellow Card waters.
Mölndalsån, Fattighusån and Gullbergsån belong to the Yellow Card, a fishing license that covers 60 different lakes and rivers in the Gothenburg area.
