Scope of the fishing license:

The outer limit of the fishing license is the same as the freshwater limit in the estuary, i.e. a line drawn from the westernmost tip of Kallhed Näsa on Hisingen to the westernmost tip of Klubbenäs on the mainland. Outside the map boundary, it is a conservation area with a fishing ban from 1/10-31/3. In the conservation area, trolling fishing is prohibited all year round. Upstream, the northern edge of Sävtuvan is the fishing limit.

Fishing rules:

Minimum size for salmon and trout is 45 cm. Fishing season for trout and salmon is 1/4-14/10. All salmon and preferably also trout must be reported to Sportfiskarna. Otherwise, see Fishing rules in the Yellow Card guide.

Boat fishing is allowed, but it is absolutely forbidden to dock in the construction of the Screens (remote control).

Description:

One of West Sweden's better pike waters with a chance for the really big ones. The pike are found throughout the 17 km long fishing stretch - a total of about 500 hectares of fishing water. In recent years, the number of big pike caught has decreased, which is why we recommend that most of the pike and all over 100 cm are released to strengthen the stock.

Pike fishing begins when the ice floes thin out and the crocus starts to bloom. Fishing is best in the Nordre River if you have access to a boat, but in some places it is possible to access from land. At Kungälv, Kornhall, Ragnhildsholmen and at Kippholmen there are shore fishing spots. Good fishing spots for pike include the stretches upstream and downstream of Skärmarna and along the reed edges between Kippholmen and Kornhall's ferry on the Hisingss side. Several large pike have also been caught at the southern tip of Munkholmen.

Fishing for large perch can sometimes be rewarding, as well as whitefish fishing in the estuary, especially in the fall. The Nordre River has large numbers of carp, and over the years many anglers have put in many hours in pursuit of bream, roach, tench and roach, for example. Salmon and trout also migrate through the Nordre River, and there are salmon and trout spawning grounds at the bottom of Fästningsholmen.

The Nodre River is part of the Yellow Card, a fishing license that covers 60 different lakes and rivers in the Gothenburg area.
