Description:

Stora Härsjön is the second largest lake in the Yellow Card with almost 300 hectares and at 47 meters it is also one of the deepest. The lake's depth and large open areas mean that the vendace thrives and has a viable population. A shallow ridge in the central part of the lake with varying depths of 2-5 meters and depth areas of over 25 meters on either side are among the most exciting places. A population of large trout spawns in the inflow stream, which is provided with spawning gravel by the fish conservation area that manages Stora Härsjön. An 8-kilo trout has been caught during test fishing. During ice winters, ice fishing for perch and ice fishing for pike are recommended in this exciting lake. Stora Härsjön has many easily accessible places for shore fishing and parking is available at Härsjögården. Keep in mind that the area has a lot of empty land and private roads and parking lots.
