Hökesjön is located between Habo and Mullsjö in the middle of the forest. There is an island in the lake. You can rent a boat from the fishing license sellers.

The lake is a typical pike lake and in addition to pike, there are perch, roach and other whitefish.

Fishing rules

  • Fishing in Hökesjön requires a valid fishing license. Children and youth under

15 years do not need a fishing license

  • A fishing license entitles you to rod fishing in Hökesjön. Fishing in inflowing and outflowing water is not allowed.
  • Fishing license must be carried when fishing and presented to the supervisor upon request.
  • The number of fishing rods per angler is limited to two.
  • For winter fishing, a maximum of five fishing rods per person and occasion applies.

Interest in recreational fishing is considerable in both Sweden and Jönköping County. In fact, around 50,000 people living in Jönköping County engage in recreational fishing to some extent every year. In many cases, recreational fishing and the tourism industry it contributes are of great importance to a small community's infrastructure and offerings and often contribute to more jobs. In Sweden, and also in Jönköping County, there are good opportunities to go fishing, but there is great potential to give more people the opportunity to experience our waters by making available and improving the quality of information about fishing and fishing waters.
