Facilities
  • Fishing water

Käringasjön is a former rotenone-treated lake that now also contains perch, in addition to the regularly exposed trout relatives, Heligeåöring and rainbow trout. The largest recorded is close to 1.5 kg.

The area is characterized by the exciting rock formations at the southern end, which after the ice age still attracts some climbers who like moderate challenges. At the southern headland there is a windbreak model larger and cement-ringed barbecue area with movable grid installation. The path around the lake does not usually require boots, except when it rains when these shoes are most appropriate. Waders are not needed as the lake bottom is not at all suitable for wading or otherwise moving around. To get out over the water there are jetties that are entered at your own risk.

The northern end of the lake has a very small shelter, only for a couple of people. There is also a cement-ringed barbecue area with the same barbecue grills as at the southern end. Note that it is everyone's responsibility to observe any local fire bans. There may also be a ban on barbecues. Unfortunately, we cannot yet agree with firewood.

The lake is surrounded by forest and the west side with a clear cliff edge opposite a protruding pine forest beach opposite on the east side.

The lake is just the right size to be rounded without too much effort at some point during fishing.

Please note that littering is not allowed. There are two garbage cans at the lake, one at each end of the lake, south and north. There are also windbreaks and about 10 piers around the lake.
