Rocksjön and Munksjön are two centrally located lakes with good fishing opportunities. The lakes, which belong to the most artificial in Jönköping County, are known for their good fishing for large pike and moldfish.

However, some lakefish have elevated levels of environmental pollution and heavy metals. Therefore, children and women of childbearing age should be careful to follow

Requirements for Sports Fishing Card in Rocksjön and Munksjön

Munksjön-Rocksjön is a fisheries care area under the Law (1981:533) on fisheries care areas. The fishing license must always be included when fishing and can be displayed at any control. If fishing is carried out without a fishing license, the equipment can be seized and the police notification can be made. The Sports Fishing Card is free of charge.

Area where the Sports Fishing Card applies

The sport fishing license applies in all water managed by the Munksjön fishing conservation association, i.e. Munksjön, Munksjökanalen to the mouth of Vättern, Tabergsån up to the ground bridge, Rocksjön and the watercourse between the lakes. Fishing is not allowed in Munksjön from the new Munksjöbron or from land within Munksjö AB’s fenced factory area or in the Rocksjön at the bathing area. These areas are shown on the fishing map.
