Norra Vixen is located in Emån's main catchment area, 5km west of Staden Eksjö. The lake's elevation is 215 meters above sea level and its area is 171ha. Norra Vixen is classified as very high nature value according to System Aqua with high species richness and high naturalness (Jönköping County County Administrative Board). Norra Vixen has a varied fish community dominated by perch and roach. The lake also has strong stocks of crayfish, pike and bream. Norra Vixen is known for its large pike and good perch fishing. Pike of 16 kg and Perch of 2 kg have been caught in the lake. The most common fishing methods in the lake are spin fishing, pike fishing and angling.
