Rusken FCAThe Rusken Fishery Conservation Area bids you welcome to Lake Rusken!

The lake extends 15 km in a north-south direction, and its northern point is in Nydala by route 127 between Värnamo and Vrigstad. The lake occupies about 3,460 ha and its deepest point is 16.4 m.

Rusken is known for its fantastic pike-perch fishing, and you can also catch perch, pike and burbot here.

Interest in recreational fishing is considerable in both Sweden and Jönköping County. In fact, around 50,000 people living in Jönköping County engage in recreational fishing to some extent every year. In many cases, recreational fishing and the tourism industry it contributes are of great importance to a small community's infrastructure and offerings and often contribute to more jobs. In Sweden, and also in Jönköping County, there are good opportunities to go fishing, but there is great potential to give more people the opportunity to experience our waters by making available and improving the quality of information about fishing and fishing waters. Hittafiske.se started as an EU-funded project with the aim of meeting the demand for all information about recreational fishing and fishing tourism in Jönköping County to be gathered and kept up to date in one place.
