Sportfiskekortet, Ältasjön

The scope of the angling license:

Ältasjön is included in the Sportfiskekortet, a fishing license that covers about 40 different lakes and streams in the Stockholm area. The lake area: 79 hectares.

Description:

Ältasjön is primarily a good lake for perch and the ice fishing for pike can be good. There is also a chance to catch zander.

Fishing rules:

Trolling (electric motor only), max 3 rods per boat. Maximum catch for pike/pikeperch per day 3 pcs, of which max 2 pcs may be pikeperch. Otherwise see general regulations.

Availability:

Parts of the lake are difficult to access due to reed belts, however, shore fishing opportunities are available in several places at, for example, headlands.

Public transportation:

Metro to Gullmarsplan, then bus to Älta, get off at the Ältasjön bus stop. Alternatively, subway to Slussen and then bus to Älta center.
