Sportfiskekortet, Flaten

The scope of the angling license:

Flaten belongs to Sportfiskekortet, a fishing license that covers about 40 lakes in the Stockholm region. Large parts of Flaten are included in the Sport Fishing License. Lake area: 63 hectares.

Description:

The lake has a good population of large perch. Ice fishing in winter with a balance pole can produce large perch. Also good jig fishing from the rocks to the left of the bath. Otherwise, there are also pike and whitefish. Pikeperch is planted but the recapture of pikeperch has been minimal.Keep this in mind: preferably keep perch in the middle class of 2-5 hecto, the large perch over 1 kilogram are important for the stocks and are also not so good to eat. Release them! The lake is partly adjacent to the nature reserve Flaten. The entire lake is covered by shore protection.

Fishing rules:

Fishing is prohibited within the stormwater treatment plant. Otherwise see general regulations.

Accessibility:

Good shore fishing opportunities are available in most places around the lake. Can be difficult to fish due to a lot of vegetation in the lake.

Public transportation:

Subway to Skarpnäck, change to bus towards Orhem, exit Grindstugan, alternatively bus via Älta to Flatenbadet or bus from Gullmarsplan.
