The scope of the angling license:
Käringsjön belongs to the Sport Fishing License, a fishing license that covers about 40 lakes in the Stockholm region. The entire lake is included in the fishing license. Lake area: 1 hectare.
Description:
Previously there were pike, roach and big carp, the lake became anoxic during the severe ice winter of 2010-2011 and all fish in the lake probably died as no fish were caught during the 2011 test fishing. However, if any fish survived, they can grow really big as they avoid competition for food.

As to Mörtsjön then you can walk along the Roslagsleden.Roslagsleden also goes from Hagby, northeast of the lake. Then take the bus towards Täby Kyrkby and get off at Vallabrink.
