The scope of the angling license:
Långsjön belongs to the Sport Fishing License, a fishing license that covers about 40 lakes in the Stockholm region. The entire lake is included in the fishing license. Lake area: 29 hectares.
Description:
Lake Långsjön is shallow with extensive lily pads and easily accessible fishing from many of the lake's rocks and jetties. Some examples of different types of fishing that are effective in Långsjön are: spinning for pike in early spring, angling during warm summer evenings for coarse tench, rudd and carp and early ice fishing for pike. Many big carp weighing over 10 kg swim in Lake Långsjön!
Fishing rules:
See general regulations. All caught carp must be returned to the lake.
Availability:
There are many places to fish from shore. Jetties are located along the northeastern part of the lake, where there are also nice rocks to fish from. The southern parts also offer nice fishing spots especially for mete.
Public transportation:
From central Stockholm, commuter train towards Södertälje, get off at Stuvsta, change to bus towards Fruängen, get off at the earliest at Snättringe. There are several stops depending on which part of the lake you are fishing in. Alternatively, take the metro's red line to Fruängen, change to bus towards Segeltorp.
