The scope of the angling license:

Magelungen belongs to the Sport Fishing License, a fishing license that covers about 40 lakes in the Stockholm region. Large parts of Magelungen are included in the Sport Fishing License. See the map for more detailed information. Lake area: 245 ha.

Description:

Magelungen is a large lake where the character of the lake varies in appearance from open deep water masses in the southern parts of the lake to vegetation-rich and shallow areas in the northwestern part of the lake. The deeper parts offer the best fishing for perch, pike and pikeperch, while the shallow and vegetated parts of the lake offer very good sport fishing for cormorants and tench, but also with a chance of carp. Rice ponds are built in the lake, two of them just north of Ågestabron. Another one in the northernmost part of the lake.

Fishing rules:

The catch limit is a maximum of 2 pike and/or zander per day and fishing license. Boat with motor, max 5 hp may be operated in the lake. Otherwise see general regulations.

Accessibility:

There are several places to get down to the water from. A beach at Ågestagården where parking is also possible.

Public transportation:

Metro or commuter train to Farsta or to Farsta beach.
