The fishing care area provides fishing to the public via a fishing card eligible for fishing with the following hand tools: mete, pimple, throw rod and fly rod.
The fishing license is valid in all the waters ranging from the outlet of the Svartån on Lake Säby to Tranås port inlet. There are both current stretches and parts with deep calmer water. Prisons extend along the river on some parts where it is Sankmark. Spin fishing and mete are the most popular fishing methods in Svartån.
The most common species are perch, brax, sarv, pike, sutter, gear, lake, trout, eel and more.
Young people under the age of 16 are fishing for free, but have a fishing license. Young people 13-15 years of age sign fishing cards through iFiske or at the Tourist Bureau of Tranås Direct and children who are 12 years of age or younger subscribe to fishing cards at the Tourist Agency "Tranås Direkt" located at the square in central Tranås.
