Svartedalens Sportfiske

Svartedalen is a vast and popular wilderness area located about 25 km north of Gothenburg. Here is Svartedalen Nature Reserve, which is known for its mighty forests, beautiful lakes and magical ravines, and in the middle of the reserve is Svartedalen Sport Fishing. With its 8 fishing waters, it offers varied and exciting fishing. The main target is rainbow trout, which is continuously stocked, but there are also pike, perch and trout.

Fishing all year round:

Fishing is permitted all year round in the lakes of the Svartedalskortet. During April-September, you can fish from 05.00 in the morning to 01.00 at night. During the rest of the year, it is 06.00 to 21.00.

**Fishing rules

• During April-September fishing is allowed 05.00-01.00. During the rest of the year 06.00-21.00.
• The fishing license is valid for fishing with only ONE rod, either spinning, reeling, fly, pimpel or met rod. Only ONE fly or lure with ONE hook may be used on the rod. Three hooks are allowed. Barbless hooks are recommended for easier unhooking. The rod must be held in the hand.
• A maximum of 2 rainbows per card may be kept. Trout must be released.
• Fishing from boats and rubber rafts is prohibited. Floating is allowed, but only when fishing with a fly rod.
• In Lake Lindesjön, only fishing with fly fishing equipment is allowed.
• In Lake Översjön and Mörtevatten, mete is allowed.
• For ice fishing, natural bait is allowed in all lakes.
• Take care of Svartedalen's unique nature - follow the nature reserve's regulations.

**The fishing license

• The fishing license costs 200 SEK/day. The card is personal, must be filled in with name and may not be transferred. Fishermen are required to show their fishing license, identification, gear, bags and catch on request. The fishing rules apply to legal responsibility and violation may result in a penalty.
• Children up to the age of 16 may fish for free when accompanied by an adult with a fishing license. Please note that the catch limit of 2 rainbows applies per license (see above).
• The card can be purchased online at www.ifiske.se/all/3391 or in store - see current list at www.sportfiskarna.se/goteborg. The card can also be purchased on site at the information board in Grandalen (see map).
